When ever I visit macrumors.com my 2014 MacBook Pro switches to the Dedicated Graphics, it only appears to it when on the homepage.

    Has anybody else noticed this?

Is there an embedded video in the homepage or something?

    What browser are you using?

I'm using Safari, seems there is a flash video on the "First Trailer for 'Steve Jobs" article.

Other sites with embed flash video don't cause it to switch to the dGPU

I'm not sure, but maybe something about that particular video is causing it. Does the second page with older articles do it? Does it have a similar video?

I don't have a dGPU so I can't reproduce your problem and speak with any authority :D

Definitely seems to be this article http://www.macrumors.com/2015/07/24/steve-jobs-the-man-in-the-machine-first-trailer/ if I remove video using the web inspector it switches back to the iGPU.

+1 to this. Uninstall Flash and enjoy the web and much better battery life.
