This is similar to the MacRumors Scavenger Hunt found elsewhere on the forum, although instead of having to take a photo of what the poster requires, you have to answer a question, and whoever answers correctly asks the next question.

Rules and Regulations:
  • Only one answer per post is permitted. Please wait until someone else (excluding the asker of the question) posts before attempting to answer again.
  • Questions regarding illegal activities (drugs, warez, prostitution etc) are permitted, however, the asker should not ask with the intent of having users visit illegal websites in order to uncover the answer. For example, a question about pornography is allowed but one shouldn't have to visit a porn site to find the answer.
  • Questions should be posted in bold and in an enlarged size.
  • Should a question not be correctly answered within five (5) days of being asked, a new question must be asked by the asker of the unanswered question.
  • No need to sign up/register to play. Just come and go as you please.
Have fun, and let's begin.

What do the countries China, Estonia, Hungary, New Zealand, Poland, and Portugal all have in common?

(Most) porn is not illegal.

Interesting concept...

However, I don't understand the second bullet. Paraphrase it please?

I understand it now. Would a snip of a screen suffice (not taken with an actual camera)?

An easier way is to use pastebin.com or something like that that keeps a timestamp, and may or may not be editable.

I personally know of no way that any post at MR can be edited, without a new time-stamp.

Sure, you have ~5 minutes to make corrections, but after that there will be a time-stamp.

The reason I deviated away from screenshots is because they can be edited. Clock can be set back in time etc.

If you can prove you haven't edited the answer, then by all means.

And I've clarified that point to avoid future confusion.

Is there any way I could prove this? My camera is not working for now, and I would like to participate.

You could share the answer with another member (preferably a moderator) who will be able to verify the answer to the question. This would also forbid that member from being able to answer the question. This also opens up that member to sharing the answer with others, but we'd have to have some degree of trust and honesty.

The asker has to write down the answer, timestamp it and take a photo of it, hold onto that photo until someone guesses the correct answer, then the asker posts the photo to show the original answer hadn't been changed.

But now I've realised that one could simply write an answer down then put yesterday, or the day before's date on it, snap it and upload it... :(

As there is now really no viable way to prove honesty, we're going to have to all climb aboard the ethics boat and play fair to ensure a fun and enjoyable game.

Ah, the ASKER. Now I'm on-board. Sorry.

Yes, that is tough, as the asker in the other quiz only has to be able to post a the pic requested AFTER others have failed.

You need a sealed envelope, left on the front porch of Funk & Wagnalls, for this one. :D

We need a quizmaster...we PM them the answer...and they can't participate.

But...perhaps they could be bribed.

Good idea, except for timing.

You need some method that is not time-sensitive. I would volunteer, but I am in and out during the week.

How about something in a server some where? To bad PhotoBucket doesn't have a file time stamp on it.

Does that give anyone some ideas??

You guys are playing for nothing. It's already over complicated. Somebody ask the question, somebody else answer it. Jeesh. It's like the free world's at stake here! Just play the game and don't be a dick. If somebody's being a dick, exclude them. Simple.

Yea, I think it's going to be easier if everyone just conforms to the honesty policy. Simply, ask your question and stick with your answer.
