Given the fact that New Zealand's national language is English, if the answer is something about language, then the UK, US, Canada, Australia and a handful of other countries would have to be in this list.

true but new zealand has also got the maori language which does have accents.

OK, so if the question is about accents in one of the official languages, where are all of the Spanish speaking countries on the list? ;)

touché... honestly i was just following upon a random thought cuz so far nobody else has come up with anything better :D

Is it something of historical importance?

Did you really think that I would give you a question that you could simply punch into Google?

I didn't expect a simple question like when did 9/11 happen or whats 4+4 but your is way to difficult and takes ages to research.

They are the only countries that can be used to spell Chinaestoniahungarynewzealandpolandportugal?

Seriously this question is too hard.

Not only that but it can have more than one meaning too !

I agree. More clues should be given if the question is so broad. Now we have to read the OP's mind to know the answer, because they all have an 'a' on their names so basically that is correct as well.

Times up! Here's your answer.......

These are the only countries that do not have an official national motto.

And because no one got it, I have to post another question.

What global corporation's earnings were $77.2 billion (USD) in 2010?
