In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi () is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.[2]The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete".[3] It is a concept derived from the Buddhist teaching of the three marks of existence (三法印, sanbōin), specifically impermanence (無常, mujō), suffering(苦, ku) and emptiness or absence of self-nature (空, ).

Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, roughness, simplicity, economy, austerity, modesty, intimacy, and appreciation of the ingenuous integrity of natural objects and processes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi
Today I learned something new. Thank you. I've naturally gravitated towards becoming this way as I get older and it makes me happier. I don't really worry about imperfections with my devices any more. I think having children also helps develop this mindset because children are always hard on things. It's just life. My body isn't perfect and neither are my possessions. It's all a waste of brain cycles to worry about such things. And in some ways, imperfections can be beautiful. They're not fake—they're true to form and natural.

Wow, this looks awesome! I'd love to win this. WaterField Design makes great stuff that holds up well.

NO ONE ELSE ENTER!!

I apparently don't have to worry about winning anything. My mom said the last lucky thing she did was having me. (awww) She used to win big at the casinos, and after having me, that stopped. Friends would take her along because she was so damn lucky! She asked me how lucky I was. Well, not so much. I was in a drawing for two top of the line Xeon processors, a matched pair actually! Two kits, three people. I had such high hopes.

I didn't get drawn.

One of the winners said he had several pairs of those same processors (figures), and offered to sell me his newly won pair for almost MSRP! Yeah, nice way to rub it in. My wife is lucky. She one a three foot tall Energizer Bunny that had sandals she could wear! We both won, but I had no clue what to do with a barefoot Energizer Bunny character. He ended up riding the dumpster when we moved. I'm sure someone probably grabbed it, and probably wondered where the heck the sandals went. They were Teva sandals too, believe it or not. Nice touch.

So, good luck! I'm not entering. Enjoy in good health! (Oh, and I have too many bags as it is. I should probably sell some of them, but they are so NICE! If I can ever travel again)

Cheers!

I can’t stand people who never have anything good to say... but... $229 for an ugly, brown, beat-up looking bag!

To each their own I suppose.
You'd rather have a perfect patent leather looking bag? Then the first time you scratch it you think, 'oh, look at the big scratch!'

With a 'worn' look you don't have that worry.

The real question is, did her luck run out right AFTER having you, or right BEFORE?
