Looks good, but if i was spending my own money i would need gigabit ethernet. Surprised this dock doesn't have it. I've been using a caldigit dock, a TS2 with my 2015 macbook pro for years. Today I use it only for the LAN connection. My laptop still has hdmi port, tb2 ports for second monitor, etc. It is daisy chained at the end of two external tb enclosures, akitio's, for my storage. I've had good luck with this caldigit dock, but when needed will look for one with an ethernet connection even it means using a power brick. I think I'll do an upgrade to a new computer in a year or so. We need what we need.

I'm of two minds about this:
1) Well that was one long shameless product plug!
2) Alright, I just ordered mine from Amazon on the other browser tab ;-)

Does the SOHO give m1 macs USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Mbps) speeds with gen 2 peripherals? There are an awful lot of people complaining about not getting full speed with Gen 2 NVME enclosures connected directly to m1 macs, but TB hubs seem to mitigate this issue.

Got mine today. Was able to read >400 MB/s from a Samsung FIT Plus using BlackMagic. That's pretty fast considering the FIT Plus is rated to 300 MB/s 🤔 Don't really have anything faster USB based - bought it as an adaptor for Oculus Rift S (DisplayPort + USB-A)...

Edit: Oh wait, the EU edition says 400 MB/s 🤷🏽‍♂️

Edit 2: BTW, the 2m USB-C cable that came with the Mac (2020 16") will only transfer around 50 MB/s, which makes sense because it's USB 2...
