For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with Satechi to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win a Trio Wireless Charging Pad that can wirelessly charge the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at once.

Priced at $119, the Trio Wireless Charging Pad has a simple rectangular design that looks clean and organized on a desk, counter, or table top. There's a slight wedge look to the charger, along with three LEDs that serve as charging indicators for your devices.

There's an upright pop-out Apple Watch charging puck that can charge the Apple Watch in Nightstand Mode, an indentation designed to fit the AirPods or AirPods Pro and a spot for the iPhone denoted by a raised rubber circle that helps keep it secured in place while charging.

satechitrio2.jpg

The cutouts for the AirPods and the rubber circle for the iPhone are useful ways to make sure your devices get put in the exact right spot for charging, so there's no fussing with trying to find the proper position.

satechitrio3.jpg

Because the Apple Watch charging puck folds down, the Trio is ideal for travel because it can be tucked into a bag or a purse along with your other Apple accessories.

satechitrio4.jpg

The Trio Wireless Charging Pad can charge an iPhone at 7.5W, the maximum charging speed that Apple's iPhones support for wireless charging. The Apple Watch charges at 2.5W, while the AirPods with Wireless Charging Case or AirPods Pro charges at 5W.

Satechi is a trusted name when it comes to iPhone accessories, and the Trio features foreign object detection and over temperature protection to keep you and your devices safe. It will automatically shut off power if there's an unknown object on the charger or if there are heat issues.

Satechi ships the Trio Wireless Charging Pad with a USB-C 24W power adapter that comes with U.S., UK, and EU plug options, another reason why it's ideal for use both at home and when you're traveling.

Looks nice. Still a bit pricey for my liking. If I were to win one that would be cool, but until wireless charging gets faster I'm not in a rush to shell out on a wireless charging station personally. I don't find using a wire overly inconvenient, especially at night.

I've been looking for one that'll let me charge 3 phones. With the cutout shape looking things on this will it still work for 3 phones at once?

This actually looks way better than most of the other threee-in-one chargers out there.

No, because the one on the left just charges an Apple Watch, and I would assume the AirPods one in the middle is too deep to charge a phone.

I'm the audience for this handsome device, but I live in a studio so my "nightstand" becomes an end table during the day. The charging device needs to look good to me when it's not in use, so I'm on the fence about them.

I don't know much about this tech, other than the power sharing on my S10 has saved me from great inconvenience on more than a few occasions.

What worries me is when I have had occasion to use wireless charging mats, it has added only a small amount of charge whilst making the device very, very warm. Often my Apple Watch is quite toasty after a fresh charge. Heat to my mind has indicates wasted energy.

Surely this cannot be good for a battery nor an efficient way of charging?

why can't they put the cord on the side of these things. id I had my watch charging I'd want it in nightstand mode facing my bed... glad I have a fuse where ya can rotate the watch charger part

I’ve owned this for about half a year. I use it daily for my Apple Watch (Series 4), Airpod Pros, and my iPhone XS Max. No complaints, it’s worked great for me.

In my opinion, it was the sleekest looking option out there when I bought. I am just not a fan of the offerings from companies like Belkin. MacRumors had an ad article yesterday-ish for an accessories sale from Nomad that had a pretty nice looking trio-charger that I would also seriously consider if I were shopping for this now.

I’ve had the Nomad for a while now. It’s pretty nice, but the finish wears a bit. Other than that, I like it.

I've been participating in the giveaways for some time, sure 1yr+ but today was the very first time that I received an email confirmation of my entry - is that a new feature? @jclo ?

Electrical engineer here: wireless charging won't get much faster, the physics of electromagnetic fields passing between two wire coils limit it massively, particularly without the iron core that you get in a transformer that massively improves the efficiency, and which is physically impossible with wireless charging. These inefficiencies transfer into heat, which limits the power levels that can safely be used. They will be able to tweak it here and there, but there are physical limitations of what is possible. Charging via wires will always remain king.

Not bad at all, looks very convenient, especially since it’s only one electric plug being used for 3 things...

But I’m more interested on the iMac base riser... anybody knows which one is that?

EDIT: checked it out, it’s also a Satechi one, clever. And it looks actually quite cool... it has a connector to extend a bunch of USB, Card Reader, etc ports. Not bad at all.

That seems like all it would do is limit you to charging current gen airpods there. Sure, it's probably likely to charge the next version as well, but I doubt it would charge another qi device.

And why do these things feel the need to add LEDs on the front of the device. All three of the devices (Apple Watch, Airpods, and iPhone) have an indicator on the device that lets you know they are charging wireless.

I must be old. I really liked the Nomad charging pad MR posted about yesterday. I didn't know why then, but now I do. They didn't feel the need to smear their logo on everything. They know they designed it. You know they did too. That's good enough.

I don't want to come off as negative, so I will say, at least it's USB C.

much appreciate your feedback. This looks like a really sleek piece of kit. The Belkin option looks more of a leather pad on top if I’m not mistaken.

Ruined by the Henry Ford lack of alternative options to stark, dust magnet black.

Also, why have the AW shunted out left when nightstand mode dictates (both practically and aesthetically) it should be centre stage not APs.

Oh and typically their logo is way too prominent and cheapens the overall design. Really wish Satechi would take a lead out of the Native Union, NOMAD etc book, but they’re one of those companies that thinks their logo has some sort of intrinsic value or kudos. It really doesn’t, lads.

Hmm, had to take a second look since I didn’t actually pay attention to the logo, could be smaller indeed, however the font, not in your face color/brightness and the led indicators on the opposite side, together, I find it not bad at all. Far from cheap vibes.

I don't like the horizontal chargers, its too finicky to get the phone in the right position, especially in the dark. I got the Belkin 3 in 1. Works great so far.

and if Apple change the design of AirPods case? i would be stuck with a charger that have a useless hole in the middle
a flat surface with a sign would be better...

Would agree as I got the Mophie 3 in 1 a few months ago and when I place my iPhone X on the charger if it's just a fraction out of alignment will not charge then get this annoying flashing LED. I know there has to be some way to indicate the phone is not sitting correctly but you can only see it once you put your head on the pillow. Also do not know what's inside the charger but is very light and could be almost blown of the side table if you blow on it:mad:. Should have returned it really as for the cost was not good value in my opinion.
