For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with OneAdaptr to offer 12 MacRumors readers a chance to win a Twist Plus+ World Charging Station. Priced at $45, the Twist Plus is a very handy charging solution that lets you charge your Mac and multiple iOS devices at the same time.

Because it attaches to any MacBook Power Adapter by replacing the attached plug, it works with many different Mac models. Its included four USB ports can charge iOS devices at the same time, and it even works with Apple's newest devices, the Retina MacBook and the Apple Watch.

The adapters are all built-in so there's no need to carry extra accessories, and changing the adapter is done with a twist of the base. The Twist Plus' selection of adapters work in more than 150 countries.

I know this is a US-based site, but is there any chance ever for any global or european contests? It's the same thing with the Buyer's Guides - I would be so interested in those if they were country specific (or even european - no import duties between countries here). I know, there are a lot of other countries and it is hard to pick one, but if ever a prize could have been offered to entrants the whole world over, surely this would be it.

That would require the entity doing the shipping to have a US export license.

Okay fair enough... and I guess the buyers guides around the world would be tricky to sort out... maybe it would be nice if I could opt out of these two types of posts so the slight frustration I feel doesn't rise up in me when I see them. Perhaps they could be put in a country specific section of the site.

I'm in the the UK, but fully accept that these giveaways would be more hassle than their worth if it was a worldwide thing, however if you really want to participate - I wonder if Macrumors would have a problem if you used one of the 'US delivery address' services like shipitto or viabox - then as far as they're concerned it's being sent to a US address?

It seems it's more than just delivery address, as mentioned in a reply linked in an earlier post.

is it really that complex to open the promotion internationally?

How does international visits stack up?

Wouldnt it be cool if you would take the time to research and do a promotion, for, say,Canada, UK, Australia?

You could parner with local branchs and do local international promos, maybe?

Seems like that was already referenced in earlier replies.

I always just charge the laptop and connect devices to it with USB for charging. Newer Mac laptops output 1A on their ports.

Regarding ebay shipping overseas, I have a UPS account, and they can do all of that for you. I have also done the forms myself occasionally, and you can make the customs fees 'collect' for the recipient. It adds a few days on for shipping, either way, but it's not all that hard to ship stuff internationally. Usually...

It has nothing to do import/export laws. It's regarding the laws in place in different countries regarding how "contests" must be carried out.

On a related note: It's a plug. When did a plug start to have to look "attractive" or "sexy"? If it really does look like Ugly Betty, then I would suggest drinking a six-pack or two of beer. Everything looks better after a few beer ... evv ... ree ... thing.

FWIW, from their website:

Twist Plus World Adapter works as a stand-alone international wall charger, too. Rather than pulling out a MacBook to charge your iPhone or iPad, simply use Twist Plus World Adapter. Twist Plus World Adapter can charge your iPad up to four times faster than a MacBook and your iPad mini up to twice as fast as its included charger.

This is the all in one solution I've been looking for. Now, I only carry one adapter for my "new" Macbook, iPhone 6, Apple Watch, iPad, and Power Beats Wireless. Plus, it works globally which is the icing on the cake for me. All of you complaining about the looks, please, name me a product that does exactly what this does. I will buy that one too.
