I call BS. Try a little harder to hate on it. Even if you turn it around and only sell it for $500 or a $1,000 to love it quickly that would be a nice, free profit. I highly doubt you wouldn’t accept that amount of free money.
Say what? I bought it years ago for ridiculously little (under $10, I forget the details of the deal) and it's covered an unlimited number of iOS devices. I've also gotten free updates (typically every month or two) for, I don't know, maybe six years? You can't ask for a better license than that.
Well, I suppose if you want the dev to go out of business you could ask for a true perpetual license.
I just entered, as I would love to get my hands on one of these -- and then I looked at the feedback screen. So, in spite of a few people suggesting that they are not entering because they would never want a Vision Pro, (not criticizing -- hey, you do you) there have to date been over 16,400 entries, and still climbing. Also, there is now less than 20 hours left to participate, and at (a maximum of) seven entries per person, my calculator tells me that each entrant has a little worse than a 1-in-2,300 chance of winning.
But just think for a second... compared to most such giveaways -- especially anything labeled as a "lottery" -- those are actually really good odds.
