For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with Satechi to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win a USB-C Dual Charging Station that's designed to charge the iPhone and the Apple Watch at the same time.

Available in Silver or Space Gray to match Apple's devices, Satechi's Dual Charging Station provides a total of 15W of power to charge an iPhone and an Apple Watch.

The Charging Station, priced at $64.99 normally but on sale for $38.99, features a slim, attractive design with a pedestal for each device, holding both the iPhone and the Apple Watch upright for easy viewing.

You'll need to supply your own cables for the iPhone and Apple Watch, but the Charging Station includes built-in cable management features to wind up excess cable. It comes with a USB power adapter and a USB-C to USB-A cable.

Satechi has designed the charger with smart charging technology that will provide the proper amount of power to each of the two devices that are being charged. It works with all modern Apple devices that have Lightning connectors, along with the Series 1, 2, and 3 Apple Watch models.

That is probably the best looking dual-charging dock I've seen....

Maybe the slightly larger case on the 44mm watch pushes it off the charger? That lip on the bottom doesn’t leave much room. Just a guess.

On second thought, the case is the same isn’t it, just the screen is larger...

The problem with a lot of these docks is they won't accommodate a phone that's inside a thicker case, like most wallet cases. So this would work for my wife, but not for me.

I entered anyway since I'm sure my wife would love to have this. :D

Embarrassing chinese plastic garbage. Something like that was chic in 1978.

"I proudly display my Satechi stuff..."

My spontaneous question: Does the multi-part plastic case squeak when you have to hold it with one hand to pull the iPhone with case out of the plug, or does the Watch 4 just fall off because its outer dimensions are too large for the station?

San Diego Company? Waste of resources! This is low level design of China mass-produced.
This crap wouldn't have an aesthetic chance in Europe. So they try to get rid of it in their homeland. Good luck.
Every product will find some customers before you have to give it away.

Some people marry ugly women, I am fine with that.

Apple is that strong because it creates extremely simple functional slim and attractive space-saving design.
California can be proud that just Apple can do so:

Why should I? You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Apple has already elegantly solved the power supply.
I always don't like the waste of human resources, I hope you can understand that. I have nothing against companies that also want a piece of the pie, but this here is already so obviously stupidly solved, therefore I do not have to take it in the hand at all...

This may work for some for awhile but isn't Apple going to USB-C for next years phones?

Sounds like you're saying Apple "solved" the charging solution by just making charging cables and the watch charging puck? Some of us actually DO like having a charging dock/station. I've got a nice one, from China, that charges my watch, phone, and AirPods in a metal frame with a small footprint that is the same space gray as the rest of my devices. It looks great on my desk and unclutters all the cables.

Now when you say this Satechi dock is "ugly," I can't disagree with you there...

If you had followed the link provided in the article and scrolled down to the Q&A, you would have gotten your answer:

"Yes, this is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 4."

Doubt it. Apple will go full wireless charging on the iPhone before USB-C.

This dock is already obsolete with the series 4 watch and wireless charging on the new(er) iPhones.

Tortured design like this is why people would still buy a $179 AirPower...

His question was reasonable. One would expect a reputable company to update their specifications in a timely fashion.

Hey there, here’s one similar to mine:

I bought mine months ago off eBay for I think $12. Not the same company but appears exactly the same. It did come with one bad charging cable but I switched it with one I already had. Looks and works great.

Wireless charging is very slow my opinion you can't beat charging with a cable.
