This seems like an expensive way to do it but if your gonna work on a laptop for an extended time, it really pays off to raise it to eye level and use an external keyboard and mouse (or trackpad). A stack of books works just fine for this.

Hope they were wearing gloves!
I know you’re joking but the half life of the Coronavirus is measured in hours or (at most) days. Less if exposed to heat or UV light.

Your doorknob is a lot more likely to be contaminated than a porous wooden object that’s likely been sitting in a box for weeks or months.

oh my gods, every one of these threads
WHY DO THINGS COST MONEYYYY

Nevermind coming up with a design this elegant, where every surface is dictated by function and the result is still this clean and geometric, just duplicate this one. I invite any of you to even just try making one, and then see what you think of that $100 retail price tag.

Mechanically, it seems to operate on a similar principle to a bottle opener. Let’s hope the wood breaks first if it gets forced.

I think that looks AWESOME! 😍 I LOVE the look! Not sure why so many on here aren’t fans?

Even if I don’t win I will pick one up! (But please let me win).

looks too weird
not into mixing wood with high tech devices

Just because something is difficult to make doesn't justify its cost. The second hand market for this is going to drive the value of this down towards zero. It's a stand for a device with a limited life span in a design that will quickly become dated in a material that should be assumed to have absorbed at least two fluids.

These are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I always wanted one of these, I just can not afford them at this time! I love the Macbook pro one!!!

I can feel the torque on that poor MacBook Pro from here. No thanks! Besides looks wobbly. Not to mention $100 + for a chunk of wood.

I don’t understand the hate. It looks really good and unique both functionally and design wise. I have one for my iPad and it’s the most useful accessory I bought for it, worth every penny.
Having said that, i don’t get why anyone would need it for a MacBook.
I'm the opposite. It's incredibly useful for a laptop because it elevates the screen to eye level while giving you a bit of space underneath to place a Bluetooth keyboard. See last pic to see what I mean: you could place your keyboard right under that divot allowing you to bring the screen closer to your eyes. Ergonomic heaven. No other laptop stand allows this.

This is also significantly better looking and more compact than every other stand I've seen.

I'm at a loss why anyone would use a tablet in such a way though.
