For this week's giveaway, we've teamed up with ColorWare to offer MacRumors readers a chance to win custom-painted AirPods Pro, available in dozens of colors.

For those unfamiliar with ColorWare, it's a company that's been around for a long time, offering custom paint jobs and unique skins for a range of electronic devices, from consoles to earbuds.

AirPods Pro can be ordered from ColorWare in custom colors for a fee of $389 for just the AirPods Pro or $439 for the AirPods Pro and the Wireless Charging Case. It's pricy, but it's the only way to get AirPods Pro in a color other than white.

There are solid and metallic colors, with gloss and matte finishes available. Traditional black, gold, and silver colors are options, but there are also bright shades in every color of the rainbow. If you want AirPods Pro in blue, yellow, orange, green, teal, deep purple, pink, or one of dozens of other colors, ColorWare is the best option. You can even get them painted to match Apple's iPhones.

The AirPods Pro can be custom painted in the same color as the case, or you can order each AirPod Pro and the case in all different colors, so there are quite a few available color combinations to choose from.

ColorWare has been offering custom painted devices since 1998 and has perfected the painting process. ColorWare uses a coating process that includes a primer, an application of a proprietary color formula, and an X2 liquid plastic coating that protects the color. All ColorWare work is guaranteed for 12 months, and 24 months with the purchase of an additional warranty.

Since ColorWare is using AirPods Pro from Apple and painting them, the full AirPods Pro functionality remains intact. There's an H1 chip for quick and easy pairing, silicone tips for a tight in-ear fit, Adaptive EQ, and Active Noise Cancellation.

AirPods Pro are a bit hard to get right now, so custom AirPods Pro purchases made now will arrive in early March. For those who don't need AirPods Pro and prefer standard AirPods, ColorWare also colorizes AirPods and the AirPods case.

We have a set of custom painted AirPods Pro and Wireless Charging Case to give away, with the winner to choose the color and finish of their choice.

I haven’t been able to enter one of these giveaways in AGES. I enter my name and email address and it tells me I have already used that email to login?
Edit: there is no login button in the post, so I went to gleam’s website to sign in, came back and it’s telling me the same thing...

Wonder what firmware they have... if it’s 2C54 then they are just custom broken earphones.
I'd assume temporarily custom broken earphones. Nevertheless, If you win them, I'd be happy to take that broken garbage off your hands for you.

I would have a red left ear and a green right ear so I could tell them apart without having to look for the tiny letters. :)
Do you have trouble telling your ears apart?

Would this void the warranty or make them ineligible for AC+?
Since it's a prize giveaway, would either of those things be applicable? Warranties are typically between purchaser and manufacturer. Winning a prize giveaway doesn't make you a purchaser does it? I don't know the answer, but it would seem that there would be no expectation of a warranty since there was no purchase.

Depends on when they bought them. Besides the fact the paint job would probably void the warranty, I think, you can buy AC+ up to 60 days from the purchase date without having to take them into the store.

Have you already tried signing out then clearing your browser cache?

You seem to be signed in here, so I assume the contest link at gleam.io that says “Colorware” is where you’re having trouble? If you haven’t used that link, try it next.

Good luck to you and everyone else!

Ah, so people can tell whether you are facing towards them or away from them--as with the navigation lights on aircraft and boats? ("Red right returning" means the aircraft is headed toward you since the red light is on the left side of the aircraft, so will appear on the right from your perspective.)

I hope their paint is nontoxic.
I'm sure it is. Colorware has a pretty good reputation--and over many years. Jez sayin'...

This giveaway makes me sad, because I ordered a pair from them in November and am still waiting for them to ship. (The estimate back then was January) Anyone who orders now, they're estimating March on the website. The contest makes it sound like the winner gets to bypass the line and doesn't have to wait 2 months for their order.

I mean, they are free to do whatever they want, but it seems like they should put the winner into the standard wait queue so the paying customers don't feel cheated by their PR department.

Oh, God. It’s ONE pair. The winner will likely skip the line because it’s one single order. The AirPods are so stupidly popular that there is probably a backlog of thousands of orders. It isn’t like a giveaway of one prize is really going to affect you in any meaningful way, maybe your pair gets pushed back by 30 minutes?
