When you find out that anything over 75db can damage your hearing over time, and you set the headphone safety to said decibel level... let's just say your willingness to wear these things, or any earbuds, takes a hit. It's too quiet at 75db. I'll just listen to my music the way the human ear was intended to listen to it: through the air.

These look gorgeous, but I'll pass until Apple starts doing colors - because Apple can mold the entire AirPod out of colored plastic, rather than just painting it on, which means wear and scratches won't end up showing white underneath.
It’ll NEVER happen.

These do look pretty cool. I'm sure Apple is watching and will come out with their own version next.

If 75 decibel is too quiet for you coming out of the AirPods, wouldn't you find it too quiet over the air, too?
Having it travel through the air doesn't do anything to reduce the damage. The only thing that matters is the volume it arrives at.

Anyone have this? I'm always wary of the durability of any kind of aftermarket paint job. Though these things are disposable so...
Yes. Pretty damn good. Probably 2 years now, very minimal wear and only because I dropped them on pavement several times. just the tips starting to show some original chrome. Otherwise perfect and the case nary a scratch or nick.
