Macrumors increasing avatar size limits?

I just went to edit my avatar and saw this



If that is true then great, I always thought avatars here were really small. IIRC the old limits were 75 by 75 pixels or 19.5 KB.

i think the 150 by 225 pixel limitation is for the profile pic, not the avatar.

Still 75 x 75 for me. I'd kill for 100 x 100.

my avatar page lists the normal size.

but i do think a small size bump woudln't hurt either.

Oops, I am a total douche 😱. You are right, it is the profile that is that size. Here was really hoping for a size bump 😛.

Yeah, I have a great animated gif I'd love to use, but it's too big. Oh well, they gotta draw the limit somewhere.

I like them small and the file size limits annoying animated gifs. Some boards are riddled with them.

This is the reason why, they don't want obnoxious avatars distracting from everything. The mods have larger tars so they can be easier seen.
