The date has been set - clear your diary.....​

When is it? - 30th July 2011

Where will it be? - Hyde Park (same spot as last year - location details to follow)

What sort of time? - 1pm til as late as you can hack it

What am I gonna need? - Blankets, frisbees, ipods and speakers, too much food and too much alcohol.... friends, pets and loved ones welcome!

Oooooo, I might have to extend my footie trip plans for this and arrive a few days earlier from Toronto than anticipated.

Are there some cheapish hotels nearby for an overnight stay?

Cheapest I've found is Easy Hotel. The South Kensington branch is the closest, I think (new branches are popping up every now and then**), Earls Court usually the cheapest (in town).

Small orange rooms that's all right for a night or two...

** Edit: As I thought, the new Paddington branch is actually closer...

There's a delicious chocolate portuguese dessert that I can make. I've never made it but I know it's really easy. It's pretty convenient for a picnic too.

I don't foresee any problems attending. I just need to get my arse into gear and book the flights.

I wouldn't exactly call Toronto an exotic clime, especially in the winter.
