MacRumors London Picnic 2011 - final details added!

I seriously want to come to this.

I'm 18 thought... I imagine most people on here to be like, 40 or something... will I be crashing your party?

I'm 24. There's people of all ages and they're all super friendly and easy to talk to. If you want to come you should come. :)

Not at all, I first went to a MR picnic when I was 17, I'm 22 now :)

I may do yes :) I'll have to book train tickets soon though. I live up North in Leeds!

I'll be coming down from York myself! I find tickets are fairly cheap with a YPR booked in advance on east coast.

In my diary.

Last year I made sausage rolls with chilli-tomato and cheese. This year I'll make something veggie I think (or veggie and meat).

Don't mind the heat, but less pollen this year would be a bonus.

Should have it in Australia, probably best this time of year too considering its winter too and in north Queensland it gets up to 32C in summer.

I don't foresee any problems attending. I just need to get my arse into gear and book the flights.

Finally......

Flights booked and hotel booked for the Saturday night (Thanks Marriott Reward Points). So I will be attending. :D

What can I bring in the way of food and alcohol? Does anyone have any problems if I pop into a Marks & Sparks food shop and purchase something not home made? I might bring over a couple of bottles of Canadian wine as well.

Wow! Cool...

It's always very relaxed. Bring stuff you like, and if you or others want to share then that's fine. Marks & Sparks is fine!

There's actually a really big M&S at Marble Arch itself, with the underground floor dedicated to food. Opposite is the Selfridges food hall for super-posh-nosh.

And you were like 20-21 for your first picnic, no?

There's certainly room for an 18 year old!! Definitely go if you can!

I haven't made a single picnic over the ___ years it has been around. :( One day, I'll get to go. For now, I'll have to read about it here.

I was 22. :) It was a lot of fun and everyone was super friendly.

You are making me feel old now. Won't be able to make it this year either, unless you postpone it two weeks. ;) Really need to drop by you folks again soon.
