MacRumors Live is for events where live blogging takes place. I imagine it was just a mistake by one of the admins.

Maybe they're testing and Arn has someone with an invite to live blog next week's event???

On days like today when the site expereinces a higher than usual load the site changes a little in the background to keep up with the pace of visitors.

One of these changes is to move to the macrumorslive.
