I was checking out a Windows-centric site today (I’m a BootCamp user). The site wants $75.00 a year for a ”premium” membership. The site in question puts out maybe three new articles on a good day. Their forum is basically an unused wasteland. Looking good MR. 👍

Hah. :) I’ve been looking at providing some additional tiers though what’s offered in the current $25 tier wouldn’t change (actually we may add some features there).
You could offer chat rooms but then you’d have to add more moderators. Bots can stop some abuse but not all.

is it possible to read whole thread on 1 page with paid membership (it says "additional features" but doesnt list them)?
thanks very much.

Paid members don't get banner ads and they gain access to a private forum area. They also have the option to choose a special user title.

Forum members can sign up on the Upgrades page.

My paid membership expired about 20 minutes ago and instead of the usual $25 fee, I am only being shown the default $50 option.
