Been a while since I posted a pic. Any way this is me being awarded a diploma by Princess Victoria of Sweden 😎

Why the heck not. This is my Chinese conversation partner and I at Niagara Falls (about 15 minutes from my house).

She has the nicest skin I've ever seen. It's absolutely perfect.

A whathuh?

I am a volunteer conversation partner for 6 students at the university I attend. My school has connections with Asian universities to provide a totally immersive IELP (intensive English Learning Program).

The girl is Jin Tang. I must admit, we have been spending a lot of time together lately, and I have grown quite fond of her. Her English is 95%.

Tonight she said the cutest thing.. "Safely driving", telling me to drive safe. Other than a few oddities, her English is almost perfect.

tell ur 'conversation partner' the words 'wo ai ni', and she'll be eating out of ur hands. it sounds like "w-oh I nee"

or

ni hen piaoliang - "nee hen pi-ao-liang"

I've picked up bits and pieces along the way.
Ah. I was gonna say... 'cause everyone writes the phoenetic sort of Chinglish differently, ya know? And I was just sort of caught off guard. Didn't think you'd know these sorts of phrases (not so much the "I love you," but the other). 😛

Thanks for the compliment Lee... I was actually hit on by a gay guy at a club once. I politely let him know that I am happily straight.

I said those Chinese words to her, she totally lit up. Thanks for the suggestion TequilaBoobs

Lee is at it again 😀

I can't help it. Straight guys need to hear they're hot once in a while! 🙂 I've always gotten the impression from my straight friends that they don't hear that a lot.

Which is obvious from your pic. 🙂 And you're welcome. But damn- you Canadians...I need to get up there. 😉

Um ... I said this to my wife (who's Chinese-American).

First she said "You're an idiot."

So I tried again.

Then she said "I'm going to kill you."

I think I'm doing something wrong?

most chinese-americans dont speak mandarin, but cantonese. could that be the case?

or maybe youre mispronouncing the words/tones... who knows?

i wish your wife was more helpful and less aggressive!
