I avoid all cartoon smilies at all costs to begin with, so I voted no. Although, I'm probably not the best person to ask.

No no no no no! The ones on MacRumors are far less hideous than any others I have seen anywhere else. They're, like, all subtle and shizzles.
I would have to boycott all smileys and only use :) :( :o :P no parsed ones if we got silly ones like the ones above. Sorry!

No thanks. Smilies should be as simple and to the point as the current set-up. Too cartoony and they become obnoxious.
I would like a few new ones angel, devil, vomit, ninja, etc that can be easily distinguished from other ones. I don't see the point of having all those suggested smiles since some of them look alike.
BTW, I think it's funny that due to the content of this thread, I saw 2 emoticon ads (1st reading, 2nd replying).

I've always wanted more smilies, cause I feel they help to convey my mood, especially when I think some may misunderstand my tone. But since a friend turned me on to a great smiley site, I'm ok now.
I'm in with the "no"s. And while we're on the subject (we are on the subject, right?) I would still love to see the

God no, it's one of the reasons I prefer MacRumors to other Forums. Too much clutter otherwise with emoticons that are either larger, more complicated, animated, distracting - bah. Same goes with images in signatures.
The emoticons we currently have are good enough.
MacRumors is a more refined Forum, let's leave it that way.

Nah, I'm grateful for the attention to detail when setting up this forum, smileys included. It's what makes this site so great.
