The animated generic winner is atrocious. I'd be ashamed to have entered that crap.

FB's forget that Flash runs fine on Windows.

I Love the "Death to Flash" Avatar

Very funny. Quite slapstick -- and I code in Flash all day for a living!

(OK, I secretly wish that Flash would go away as well)

User ComputersaysNo for "1995 - 2010 goodbye flash" (Best Animated Avatar, General Theme)

is that apple trying to repeatedly crush flash, while flash repeatedly springs back to life? flash playing dead like a "got'cha!". silly fanboys.

Well done to the winners. All of you were deserved! One of these days I will get a little blue ribbon :p

The flash one is really obnoxious, it panders to the worst, jingoistic elements of the Macrumors community.

+1

And that iEvolved one is a crap idea that gets recycled again and again.

I agree 100%, and it seems that MacRumors is becoming more biased toward that community.

The McRumors avatar is the only one that doesn't try to push some pathetic hidden agenda, and is truly creative and original ... sans for the McDonald's spoof.

AVATAR CONSPIRACY, film at 11

Um, I think some of you guys are taking this a little too seriously.

The McRumors avatar is the only one that doesn't try to push some pathetic hidden agenda

Yikes, my avatar is pushing a hidden agenda without me even realizing it??

And you're wrong, the McRumors avatar is clearly attempting to push the fast food industry's meat-eating agenda and undermine vegetarianism.

I am sorry, I actually didn't even see that your avatar was one of the winners. :p

So the mikey D's one and yours are the two that don't push the agenda.

As for taking it "serious" sure. If there was an avatar that was anti-"place your thing here" you'd be a little concerned too.

I really think votes on stories need to be made public.

I want to know what kind of pterodactyls are voting negative on something like this.

As the descendant of pterodactyls, I find your comment to be... Uh, never mind. :)
