macs, phones, and bluetooth

hello. i am trying to set up my samsumg u740 Alias cell phone to use with my mac. Can i transfer things over bluetooth? how do i set that up so i can send pictures and music between them?

Click on the Bluetooth icon in your menu bar and click "Browse Device".

If the Bluetooth icon isn't there, go to System Preferences --> Bluetooth and tick "Show Bluetooth status in menu bar".

i got them paired up fine i just dont know how to transfer things. If i go to u740 > Send File it says that "the file type might not be recognized by the device" and if i go ahead and send it anyway, i get an error. Am i doing something wrong?
