While doing a massive job transcribing hundreds of videos, I received a "low space" warning on my Mac. My internal drive is pretty spartan; I keep large files on an external SSD. After poking around a bit, I discovered "My Applications" were taking up over 300GB of space, even thought actual apps only took up 25GB of that space. I found that MacWhispers has a folder called "ExternalMedia" where all the video files I was working on were copied. I expected that this folder would clean itself out after the encode was done, but it didn't. Even a restart left all the files intact.

Is this just me? If you're a heavy user of MacWhisper, check out that folder and let me know how much space it's using.

I found an option in settings that clears out this folder without having to navigate to it. Under Advanced>Danger Zone you can delete everything.
