With MacWorld Expo 2003 upon us, we will attempt to provide live coverage of the keynote on a special bandwidth-reduced version of the site. Please note that our RSS File will not be updated during the keynote event.

The keynote itself will be broadcast here
Other sources of live web coverage (sites will be added they become known):

Anyone know if the keynote will be broadcast at the Moscone center (for those of us with exhibition floor passes only)?

Edit: My first First!!

Roll over rooms

i dont know if they will be showing it for exhibits only passes, but last year they let me into one of the roll over rooms in the marriot that was showing the keynote on several 20-30 foot projection screens. the room was only supposed to be for people with keynote passes but could not get in because the keynote room was full. they let me in. you could try there. i am just going to watch it from home and go down there right after the keynote this year.

anybody tried the .mac addressbook? it does not sync: "sync timed out" after about one minute... perhaps they just let you sync when the keynote is over?¿
if there is more stuff announced, i hope it will work...

I tried it and it worked fime for me. All my contacts where there.

Have you made sure that you've used isync to upload the information to .mac?

check the .mac support page, it says it will be working later...my guess also is the after key note.

yes, i used iSync in addition, after my "timeout" ... i want to sync 475 addresses - could this be too much? don't think so... how can i only sync specific groups?
well, let's wait and see after the keynote. thx for reply anyway!

I tried to sync to .MAC address book earlier too. I followed the instructions and used Isync, but I also got the "timed out" message! I am sure it will work after the keynote. One thing...It seems that firewire 2 is a certainty now! I read it on a very good mac site. It is in italian though! They have nice pics of the Expo and will cover it for the next 4 days. For those of you who can read italian here is the address:

.Mac syncing not avaialable yet

I tried to sync my address book as well, but got nothing. Looks as though it's still in the works at the moment. Hopefully they'll turn this on right after, or during the keynote speech.
In fact, here's the text that appears in the Preferences section of the online .Mac Address Book, under the title "Syncing":

"With iSync, you can keep your .Mac Address Book in sync with your desktop Address Book so you stay up-to-date no matter where you are. (COMING SOON)"

Coming soon... so, we'll have to wait I guess. I hope some more is added. I really want .Mac to be truly useful!

i like the new mail icon much better than the old.

probably going to see that in Panther.

I have just installed the new Browser "Safari****", and dude, that carp is way slower than IE. What the hell Apple was talking about. Those Apple guys needs to switch to intel.

It took 2 minutes to load google on a broadband connection, at the same I pop in IE and it just loaded in 5 sec.

Also the 800 Ibook is faster than dual 1 Gig dude, and I have a 2Ghz celeron that kick ass of both apple.

About the fps, I can't get more than 30 on the dual gig.

Man I am SWITCHING TO WINBLOWS, because it's faster and it BLOWS

I think you have some sort of problem with your set up Safari works great for me.Its very slick and elegant, looks a million times better than IE which i hate to love using. Except hotmail doesnt seem to like it. Other than that it is a great little app and im sure once its out of BETA it will kick IE's a$$ ina bigger way than it already does.

Also Safari has a google serch feature BUILT into the interface, I didnt even see GOOGLE load when i used the feature it instantly went to the serch results

Your just pissing and moaning for the sake of pissing and moaning.
