With the IDG macworld iworld on hiatus, are there any other similar conventions being held in the USA?

No, I don't think so. The era for computer conventions is long gone. I remember MacWorld, and the like many years ago.

That's too bad. These conferences have been great to learn about new tech, companies and gadgets. Comicon has conventions. Let's get another Apple one going.
