if you have any questions about it, let me know and I'll try to help. I would have done MORE but basically ran out of money for what are basically splurge items but I do still plan on motorized blinds that open each morning and close at dusk.
Which part? I don't consider LAN IP addresses to be that exciting. You'd need the public IP, then the admin password of the router and then each individual password per device which are all different.
MY NAS, iMac and MacBook are all password protected and encrypted with different passwords.

You are correct, but there is a reason most people block out IP address when they take screen shots etc. I get it, really I do. Great video, but I would take that out. If you don't, no biggie.

Appreciate the advice though. Wasn't sure if there were some vulnerabilities I hadn't thought of. Maybe for good measure, I'll force new IPs on the devices w/o static assignments
I have a question. My wife and I are saving for a house. I would like to automate it some day kind of like yours. What's yr sq footage and maybe a rough estimate of how much you spent on HomeKit things? I want to budget for it when we do find the right house for us. Second question, do you feel that the smart thermostat has helped control yr heating bills compared to a dumb thermostat? Thanks and great video.
