I like charging my iPhone to 95%.
So I made a shortcut automation using Google assistance and smart power plug from Wyze.

When iPhone battery reaches 95%, it will send notification and turn off the smart plug.

Edit: However, I encountered a problem. Google Assistance will not operate unless the phone is unlocked.
I intended to use this while I am asleep. And the phone will be locked apparently. So....
What I need is a smart plug that will work with Apple shortcuts directly without the use of Google assistance.
For example, Kasa plug would work.

That’s really clever! But you know that Apple‘s “100%” is already not actually 100%, right? ;)

If you really want to nurture your battery, don’t let it go higher than 80% charge, or lower than 30%.

Or just live your life and get your battery replaced for $79 when it inevitably wears out. 😝

If you think I’m going to go through all kinds of bs so that the owner of my phone after me has longer battery life, well I have this bridge to sell you. Goes from upper to lower peninsula of Michigan, give you great price.

Battery will last at least a year unless it’s defective. After year I will have the next phone with fresh battery. Will charge phone when it needs it. Life already too complicated without obsessing about battery longevity. Apple engineers have worked it into battery charger inside phone Such that 0% is not really zero and 100% is not really one hundred percent.

If you want to keep same battery for ten years charge at 40% and stop at 60%. Read battery university. Never let phone get warmer than 80F or colder than 50F. But who has time for such nonsense, it’s a freaking phone. It serves me not other way around.
