Is this the exact same game that is on facebook? So I can add facebook friends and it's identical to the game played in facebook?
 
No. It is not connected to facebook at all.

It is its own game entirely made up of iphone players. There is no connection or crossover at all.
 
Another question, if I may: Can I use my same exact Mafia Wars account I have on my Facebook on the iPhone app? Because I can't seem to use it, every time I start the app it asks me to create a new profile..

You can actually play Mafia Wars through the new Facebook 3.0 update. It's a little tedious and buggy but works most of the time.

My bad. I didn't realize they changed it.

I play both on Facebook and on my iPhone, and the games are so different, I'm not sure what would overlap if I combined them. Anyone do it successfully and have any feedback?
 
hi! i really love mafia wars on facebook., I am level 155 and still on the run for more equips and weapons., hehehe I'm addicted to it.

I think the poster you quoted was referring to the fact that Facebook 3.0 allows you to play Facebook games and view other pages inside the app - they're still referring to the FB version of MW; the iPhone and Facebook versions are still two, uncombined, separate entities 🙂
