Magellan RoadMate USA version is available at an introductory price of $39.99.

... and while I think this is a great price for Magellan's app, i have a feeling that current North American customers who paid full price (or even NA discount) may not be happy w/ a deeply discounted USA version coming out before add'l features or fixes are released to current version.

Yeah, I'm sure it sucks for people who paid more for the NA version, but it's great for people like me who have been on the fence about whether or not to buy it.

    At $40, it's a no-brainer.

Not trying to be a smartass, but what about Magellan sucks? I've got an old Magellan stand alone GPS, and really like it. In particular, I prefer their UI to TomTom's. But to be honest, I haven't played very much with a TomTom or Navigon, so I don't really have a point of reference for them.
