Magic keyboard, cannot open

i bought a used Apple Magic keyboard off eBay. I cannot unscrew the end to replace the batteries. I completely destroyed a dime trying. Any tips on cracking the vault?

Try a screwdriver. But my thought would be if the end is tight, I suspect the batteries may have leaked inside.

Ya shipping it back is at least $12 and I paid $32. It came with a leather case too. Just trying not to spend more to break even. It’s a challenge!

Well good luck. But if the batteries have leaked enough to stop you opening it, I suspect it’s not going to work anyway.
