Hi folks,

I'm considering getting the Magic Keyboard for my iPad Pro M4 13" and was wondering if there's a case/skin that fully covers all four edges of the iPad — including the buttons — while still allowing the Smart Connector and magnets to function properly with the Magic Keyboard.

Satechi cases, whilst compatible, do leave one edge exposed to let the Magic Keyboard close.

I typically use my iPad on a desk or sofa rather than carrying it around closed. I'm currently using a Torro case.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I would like to protect all sides of my iPad and improve my typing speeds without the need to carry and connect a separate keyboard and mouse.

Thanks!

No, you can't cover all four edges and still use the MKB - the bottom edge has very little clearance with the MKB's hinge when closed so it has to be uncovered. I'm using the Pitaka case with my M4 13" Pro. Their original design with the new MKB was faulty - the MKB wouldn't fully close with the case on the iPad; that's been fixed (version I have).

Since the MK needs the bottom edge clear to close, full coverage cases won’t work. I tried spigen and pitaka but ended up with mageasy coverbuddy. It fits really well, no bulges, magnets are strong, and smart connect works perfectly. Honestly don’t feel like switching anymore.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions - have either of you found that your devices have tarnished along the bottom exposed end? I'm quite protective of a device that cost almost £2k! ;)

No, not at all. I've had it for 13 months and it is my primary mobile device.

Replying in an old thread. Looking for a case for a 13" M4 to be used with the MK.
Had the chargeable Pitka on an 11" and it was nice.

I see Pitka regular and a chargeable version.

Also see the MagEasy version. I'd prefer the lite as I don't have a pencil.

Any thoughts on which you may prefer more? Would assume the MagEasy may feel less slippery in the hand since it's leatherette?

Anything else on the market that may be similar?

As one user mentioned, the Pitaka doesn't fit right. Won't allow the keyboard to stay closed. Thought they had fixed it but I guess not.

Take a look here

Ive been using the Logitech Combo Touch on my 11in Pro. I chose this over the MKB because it has full coverage and offers a full keyboard and mouse experience. It also give you the kickstand option without using the keyboard and keeping it all attached.

You can go to the Burton Goods and watch the video on the item. Different form and function, but I think the difference is going to be in quality of the leather. I have had several cases from when this company was Known as Pad & Quill. The cases were fantastic and the quality of the workmanship was second to none, along with the leather. This week they introduced a limited magic keyboard case. BTW I have on order the slim case for my M5 due to ship Monday.

The issue I am concerned about is the contact between the keyboard and the iPad. Those pins require a tight connection. The way both this case and the Andar Brig work seems to slightly lift one side of the iPad and reduces the quality of the pin contact.

Some users have reported issues in reviews. Any thoughts on that?
