Have an iMac that is around 2 years old. The Magic Keyboard has been working wirelessly fine until this past weekend when it stopped working. When connecting to a lightning cable it works fine with the iMac. The keyboard also works fine wirelessly when connected to my iPad. The Magic Mouse continues to connect fine wirelessly to the iMac. So, i feel I've proven that Bluetooth still works on the iMac and that the keyboard's Bluetooth connectivty still works.

I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Is there a chance when trying to connect to the iMac it's still actively paired with the iPad? I'd turn off bluetooth on the iPad just to make sure it's not interfering, and then if there's still an issue delete and re-pair the keyboard with your iMac in the bluetooth settings.

If the other advice didn't work, try re-pairing the Bluetooth connections, keyboard charging still works over lightning?

Thanks @trsblader and @einbahnstrasse! i tried deleting and re-pairing with no success. It was giving me an "unable to pair" message. I found a solution to that issue on the Apple.com forums. It suggested unplugging all USB devices and rebooting. Which worked! Not sure I understand fully but it worked.

    Thanks again for your help.
