Well I didn’t realise that it was available for shipping until an hour ago. I had been focusing on helping a friend with iPhone SE advice and didn’t think to check if the keyboard was available for ordering as I was expecting it next month.
I’m in Australia and the default keyboard version that comes up is British with a delivery time of 1 week. Well, I prefer the US keyboard as it has a $ symbol instead of a £ symbol, so I selected the US version and I have a 2 week wait. I guess that is because I missed the early ordering window.
BTW, I’m getting the 12.9” Magic Keyboard to use with my 12.9” 2018 model.
Love this forum - kept checking Apple Store order status (which seemed to be offline for a good portion of this morning, probably due to SE related traffic), but completely forgot to check in on the payment charge - always a great indicator to consider. My card was charged 5 hours ago. I really hope I can get it in April 21!
I’m hopeful it will deliver on Monday (UK). Pleased I got the first round of delivery windows given I was 90 minutes late to order after it went up.
I’m far too excited for what is just a bloomin’ keyboard, but hey. I’ll take any “excitement” I can get right now, haha.

I am mindful of its possible shortfalls, good comprehensive post elsewhere by another user in this forum about that (linked below, post #21).
I really like the idea of the magic keyboard but its quite an investment at £300 in the UK. What’s everyone’s opinion on its future compatibility? I would hope that it would work with iPads released a good way into the future at that price. I’ve already had to buy three iterations of the...
Yeah, I found it odd and I’m glad that I realised before ordering. I was using the Apple Store app on my iPhone and definitely came up with the British keyboard as default for sure and I tried it a few times. Today, it is now showing the US keyboard as the default for the Magic Keyboard, but it is still showing the British ones as the default for the other iPad keyboards. Only in the app though. I just tried using Apple’s website on my Mac and they all show the US keyboards as the default. Now I am wondering if it is my iPhone settings. Just checked and my language is “English (Australia)”, so I don’t know.
