Magic Keyboard on 5.1?

I have a space grey magic keyboard which works when plugged in, however the function keys don't, (volume etc) anyone know if its possible to make them work?

What OS are you running? If you're not running 10.12.4 or later, it's not going to work.

Yes, a bluetooth keyboard works with 5,1.

Look under System Preferences and Keyboard to find settings for the function keys. Otherwise use fn + the desired function.

You need to update to at least Sierra 10.12.4. Apple makes that clear in the system requirements for the keyboard.
