It is not mine, but yes, apple is aware of it.Whoa! Did you take it into the store to complain yet?
It is not mine, but yes, apple is aware of it.
Just wanted to show an ipad pro 2020 space grey’s back loosing some color after some month using magic keyboard, it was an exhibit bundle in a shop, so may was on and in use all the time.
There was a picture up earlier; for some reason, it‘s been removed.I would like to see some pictures, OP. I don’t see anything in your post.
Here’s the pic.
Hmm, I think the bend part’s elbow of the magic keyboard collects dust and gives that mark on the ipad’s back.
I get the same mark on my screen from using a smart folio cover. But it easily can be wiped off.
Maybe constant using of the MKB and the ipad without deattaching it and not being aware of the dust mark makes it becoming more permanent.
I’m using coverbuddy and using the ipad without the MKB from time to time, so hopefully this can be avoided.
But to clean the inner surface of the MKB is indeed a hard thing to do, similar on the smart folio cover.
Maybe the original poster deleted the photo because they realised it could be wiped off.
I think I would definitely put a skin on it to prevent any other discoloration. 😁I’m having this now, wiping it with a Microfiber Cloth isn’t doing anything. I had to use WATER (A little bit, don’t worry) to make 60% of it to go away. It is still there.
Space Gray 11” 2020 IPP.
I’ll try to get photos today.
NOI think I would definitely put a skin on it to prevent any other discoloration. 😁
I sometimes have a line running down the back of my iPad where the MK folds as well, although it doesn’t show up as much as I have the Silver. I also take my iPad off the MK frequently to use as a tablet so any marks I notice are easily wiped off with my finger.

I find this to be extremely illogical. That you need a skin to protect your iPad from a product that Apple itself markets as protection. Directly from Apple store “Folds into a case to provide front and back protection for traveling with the iPad Pro and the iPad Air”.
And to go a bit further into this ridiculousness people are putting skins on the actual keyboard case to product it. A protector to protect the 300 dollar protector. Lol. I’ll go check mine and will report back.
I’m sure @Lsmachado would love this. And those magic keyboard skins aren’t cheap either.
Maybe they’ll make film stickers to protect the skins too.
dun dun DUUUUUUNNNNNNWha will Apple call this one - Stain Gate....Staingate...Bill Gates?
