Hi all. Has anyone besides YouTube folks used both of these keyboards for their new M4? I am using Magic Keyboard basically for convenience but I’m intrigued having watched reviews of the rebound for 1/3rd the cost. Have any of you used both and actually chose the ESR? Thanks.

i have both. you already have to MK so you know it. the rebound is super nice also. its like double the thickness compared to the MK. it is heavy but to me so is the ipad pro/MK combo. the case for the ipad is nice, just a basic plastic cover. the keyboard is nice and typing on it is good. i like that the hinge is covered by the case. i also like the little flap the closes around the end and protects the apple pencil. i’ve been using it for a full week non stop and just before seeing your post, i switched back to the MK. typing on the MK is definitely nicer. the keys are just a little more crisp, if that makes sense. i also like having the function row. i noticed a few times while typing on the rebound i touched or rubbed against the touchpad and moved the cursor. i’ve never had that happen with the MK. i had to try the rebound cause i liked the idea of being able to rotate it to portrait orientation. it’s probably me, i’m slightly physically challenged, but it wasn’t so simple to do. and putting it back into landscape, it didn’t automagically get into place so i don’t think i’ll be removing the ipad that much. the rebound also doesn’t fold back quite as much. one thing i’ll miss for sure is being able to turn off the keyboard and wipe it without waking or controlling the ipad.

Are you planning to use the MK going forward then? I’m debating if i want to buy the ESR and try it via amazon. Love the colors in the keyboard!

yes that’s my plan. to use the MK going forward. the thinness and typing consistency are the main factors. but the rebound does have a lot of positives. like you say the colors for backlighting and being able to turn off backlighting when not needed, the protective ipad case, etc. etc.
