How difficult is it, really, to use a mouse with the iPad? Just wondering what the logistics would be of the MK versus that KF/mouse combo?

I've never been a big fan of using a trackpad. I have loved the ASK and KF in the past (well, I never really loved the way the KF folded back with the keys exposed, but I loved the typing experience), so IDK if I'd be interested in the MK since it looks to be a totally different typing experience.

I'm just wondering if I go back to an iPP, whether I could do a keyboard folio and a mouse and have a good experience.

To add - it's not likely I'd need a mouse (or trackpad) often, so I'd just prefer the best typing experience I can get overall.

Using a mouse is extremely easy. I alternate using a mouse and the Magic Trackpad 2, finding in general that I prefer the mouse as it's easier for me to control the pointer movement. Both work very well. I don't have the MK - I use either a Bluetooth keyboard or a Logitech Slim Folio Pro with my 12.9 Pro.

I feel this way about trackpads - I just can't seem to control them and get the pointer where I want it to be. When I've tried to use them on laptops, I wind up wanting to throw the dang laptops through the nearest window. ;-p

I currently have a bluetooth keyboard I use with my mini that I could easily pair with an iPP, but I really love typing on the Keyboard folio - I just don't feel like there's any comparison to other keyboards for me. I can type SO much faster on them for some reason.

At this point, I don't know if I will get an iPP. I'm still waiting to see if I can figure out a way to do photo books. It is the ONLY reason I still have my iMac, and I would just love to go back to iPad only - I prefer iOS for so many reasons, and I don't really need anything more.

I have to agree with you. I use my iPP 99.5% of the time and if I can’t figure out how to do something on it then I go to my Macbook Pro. With the laptop I did use a Magic Trackpad which I loved and preferred to the trackpad on the laptop. I do have the Magic Keyboard with the iPP and it gets used about 50% of the time. Scrolling being the primary usage but highlighting, copying and pasting being the others. But often my hands or fingers are closer to the screen or even a key on the keyboard making for easier use than the trackpad. And on certain sites or functions the trackpad copying and pasting doesn’t yet work so well.
