Magic Keyboard with iPad Pro 9.7"?

Hello, I was just wondering if the new version of Apples wireless keyboard for the desktop will work with 9.7 iPad Pro? I don't need a keyboard for travel just need one for my desk at home.

Does anybody know if the function keys on this keyboard work? I.e. can you play/pause music, adjust volume and brightness, and use the launchpad and expose keys?

Yes I believe so though not sure about music as not used that with it.
