The current smart keyboard folio is connected directly to the iPad with a strong magnet, making a structurally rigid triangle.
On the Magic keyboard, the iPad is cantilevered through a remote hinge.
I have a hard time believing that the screen is as rigid and won't wobble when touched, or in non-desktop use.
That hinge has a lot of work to do, maintaining the right amount of resistance for long period of use over the life of the device.
I know that with the trackpad the need to touch the screen will be reduced, but I find I still have to touch the screen sometimes while using the TrackPad 2.
I also have a hard time believing Apple would not have solved these issues!
We'll know soon enough ! Looking forward to the first user reports.
