I’m currently charging my Magic Mouse 2, via my iMac with the charging port being at the bottom I can’t use my mouse.

Is there anyway to see how much it has progressed since I plugged it in?

I have a wireless Apple magic keyboard 2 can this be used to check battery %?

Thanks

Plugging the mouse in for a couple of minutes will help - the mouse battery charges quickly.

You can access the Bluetooth settings via the keyboard:

CMD+SPACE will bring up Spotlightg search
Type: System Preferences
When System Preferences opens, the SEARCH box is active
Type: BLUETOOTH and scroll down to DEVICES.

While it won't show the actual percentage of the charge, it does display a battery icon with an approximation of remaining battery.

Is there some sort of wall charger? I have also noticed that it will not charge with the computer shut down..Had it on my iMac for about 6 hours it was at 43% when I hooked it up...Was at 53% when I checked it 6 hours later...Though you are right it charged fast this afternoon with the computer running.

You are correct that it won’t charge from a computers USB ports if the computer is off.

Any USB charging adapter (eg an old iPod charger, a power strip with USB ports on it, etc) should work fine.
