I recently setup a Magic Mouse 2 and paired it with my laptop, but I'm missing some option that I have enabled on my other (desktop) mac where I can scroll like a trackpad on the top of my mouse (that mac is paired with a magic mouse version #1). This scrolling is especially useful for browsing the web, because you can use the mouse's trackpad-style top side to scroll up and down the page of any website to quickly scan the information.

I've looked in the OSX system preferences and also Safari's preferences, but cannot find the preference that turns on this function. Is it possible that my magic mouse 2 is malfunctioning or am I just missing something?

I have Yosemite running on both macs (the mac mini and also the laptop).

I looked on apple's reviews I saw that this is a common issue with Yosemite and this mouse, so I'll be sending the Magic Mouse 2 back and have replaced it with the version #1
