Magic mouse 2 not recognized

Hi

When I boot my late 2012 Mac mini my magic mouse 2 is not recognized. I can solve this by connecting the cable to charge it to my mini. Anyone else run into this problem?

I had this issue when I installed Mojave, would not detect it period. I had to use a USB mouse during the install process and initial setup. Once I got to a desktop I had to repair and everything was okay.

I am not sure why it happened

I put two new SSD's into it and did a fresh installation of Mojave.
