Hello! How do I update the mouse, I'm still on the first firmware version? I'm on 1.9.2, and they're already running 3.

I've never heard of a mouse firmware UPdate.
Traditionally Apple has always dealt with peripheral compatibility in the various MacOS updates, and eventually old models are no longer supported, especially BT versions.
So each generation gets new firmware, which is not updatable AFAIK.

My 2017 iMac Pro mouse and trackpad are also 1.9.2 (and the keyboard 2.0.6).

EDIT:
Apple says for the Magic Keyboard: "Firmware updates are automatically delivered in the background while the Magic Keyboard is actively paired to a device running macOS, iOS, iPadOS, or tvOS."

So it seems like my keyboard may have received a later update?
I guess the update would happen whilst the peripheral is connected by cable to the Mac (and left switched on)?

Is it a lightning plug Magic Mouse or AA-battery Magic Mouse?

My AA-battery powered Magic Mouse is on version 3.0.6
My Lightning powered Magic Mouse is on version 1.9.2

I'm 99.97% certain your magic mouse firmware is up to date.

It is not with batteries, but with charging. Yes the current version is 1.9.2.
I saw here that there is a new version, that's why I'm asking: Here

UPDATE: Yes, surprisingly enough, by plugging in first my mouse, then my keyboard, into a USB port, both got their firmware updated! And, quickly!

I have no idea what this does, however!
