I got a Magic Mouse for Christmas this morning and set up with my Macbook Pro. The setup went quickly and well. I was able to move the cursor around my screen with the Magic Mouse.

However, the click buttons don't work. I have tried left and right clicking and nothing happens.

Is there a problem with my mouse or did I miss something in the setup?

Thanks.

You have to enable right clicking and sometimes it doesn't work. Left clicking has to be done on the left side of the surface. I'd take a tour through the setup again and check out the options. I love the things and have them on all my macs except for an old MS Presenter Mouse 8000 for notebook use...

I've enable right clicking and tried clicking on all sides of the mice and nothing happens. Is it possible the mouse is defective?

Double left click on magic mouse quit

After talking to senior advisor at apple for over an hour, we finally figured out what the problem was. its the double click speed of the mouse. do this to fix it. go to settings> accessibility> mouse and trackpad > bring the speed to a position right in the middle. close and VWA-laaa, you have your left double click back!
