I don't know whether it is just me or anyone else feels the same, but the feel and hold of the new magic mouse just feels strange and a little uncomfortable. The top shell is rather sharp and aggressive at the edges compared to the mighty mouse's smooth and 'soap' like shell. So maybe Apple, decided to skip the R&D process and just make a mouse with its multi-touch surface not got have a mouse fit nicely in the users hand.

I am even thinking about going back to my mighty mouse because of this and for go the loverly scrolling action and swipe motion (which is hard to master) features of the magic mouse.

Yeah I hate the Magic Mouse as much as the aluminum keyboards...probably more.

I really did not like the Magic Mouse when I bought it on release day. After a week I was seriously contemplating returning it and going back to a Mighty Mouse. However, I decided to persevere because I did really like the touch scrolling. Now that my hand is used to it, I find other mice uncomfortable. I think it just takes a lot of getting used to, especially as I was using conventionally shaped mice for 15 years before I switched.

What are you talking about? The Magic Mouse is wonderful. It is one of the best on the market. I hated my Mighty Mouse. The little ball always stuck and had to be cleaned. If the Mighty Mouse would have had touch scrolling it might have been better.

The Magic Mouse is a no-go to me simply because there is no way to "wheel click." I use this all the time to load new tabs in Safari/Firefox and would not ever want to live without it. Now, I DO use a Mighty Mouse, but that doesn't mean I like it that much... its just that it matches and I HAVE to have my stuff match. :D

I'm lovin the Magic Might Mouse. The scrolling really gets me. I just wish there was a way to pinch zoom in and out. There is, but it seems to rarely work.

Use the right-click and choose Open in New Tab ... it's not that difficult or time-consuming. :)

I absolutely love the Magic Mouse. Haven't had any problems in the 2 weeks i have had it.

BetterTouchTool makes the Magic Mouse a real joy to use. It gives it nearly the complete functionality of the touchpad. In fact, it's great to enhance the touchpad too, even if you don't use the MM.

Yeah, BTT brings joy and wonders to the Magic Mouse.

I assign it to many hotkeys and shortcuts, and it is just pure pleasure to use.

Two steps vs. one... every little bit counts, you know.

That'd be like me saying my old 17" iMac is just as good as new one... its only a little bit slower...

i really couldnt get used to it but i love the touchpad on my mbp
currently using a razer copperhead .. no drivers for mac but its the perfect
mouse of me

i used MZoom (at least that is what the program is called in system preferences) to increase the speed of the mouse (tracking and scrolling), as the stock preferences were not ideal for me. Works wonderfully

I personally love and use both mice. I use the Magic Mouse in OS X, and when I occasionally boot into Windows, I use my mighty mouse. My mom got the 27" iMac for christmas, so I got to use the Magic Mouse for a while before I got mine, so I easily got used to it. I really do miss squeeze though. But with tools like BTT and MagicPrefs, I can customize the magic mouse to do a lot more than what  programmed the mouse to do.

With BetterTouchTool you can set all sorts of gestures - right now I have a three finger click opens a new tab. It took me a while to like this mouse, but now I won't go back.

Magic Mouse >>>>>>> "Mighty" Mouse. I finally got fed up with the effing scrollball. I love the Magic Mouse's low profile and smooth scrolling. I use MagicPrefs to get my middle click which is the only thing missing for me (Very handy to have when working with the command line).

The Magic Mouse is a real home run IMHO.

I've used one only at an Apple store, and although it was tethered to prevent being stolen, it was still a nice form factor. The price is a little steep, but when Apple finally refreshes their MBP's I intend on getting a Magic Mouse to go with it. :p

Get the magic mouse. It might take a little while to get used to, but it's soo much better than the scroll ball on the mighty mouse. My old mm doesn't scroll down anymore which is really annoying.

Remember that there was a learning curve when you switched to OSX from windows, but think how unhappy you'd be if you hadn't stuck it out :D
