Hello there,

I bought a magic mouse about 2 weeks ago to remplace my long Microsoft Wireless mouse 2000. I like the features on the magicmouse but there seems to be some kind of lag and variable speeds when moving around. It's pretty annoying. Is this normal?? Is the bluetooth slower than the usb?

What mouse do you recommand me that work fines with OSX that is not the magic mouse if my problem can't be solved.

Thank you very much.

I think you may be having trouble adjusting to the magic mouse's "mouse acceleration."

Try installing CURSORSENSE and changing the acceleration and sensitivity values.

No, I have a Magic Mouse, and it's identical in responsiveness to any wired and USB wireless mouse I've used or owned. I had this behavior a few times in the past, and it's definitely NOT normal, and IS fixable. Either your Magic Mouse is defective, in which case return it and swap it out for a new/different one.

Or there's some BlueTooth/RF interference in your area causing this behavior.

OR, like what I did, open System Preferences and change the sensitivity value slider to a different setting, then change it back. If that fails, try turning off the mouse then turning it back on. If THAT fails, try shutting down the Mac and turning it back on.

Try any of those, or a combination of those.

Again, the Magic Mouse has been relatively flawless for me, and can even use it for online competitive gaming if I wanted to - it's that responsive.

If all else fails, try swapping it out for a new/different one.

hello there,

I went and got another mouse from the store. The logitech M705 and it acts the same. it's like when I move across the screen it goes fast and then if I slow it down to like close a window, it becomes slow as hell and then if I move again, it goes way too fast...
