I purchased a 2017 iMac and it arrived on Friday. I've been using the Magic Mouse without issue, but the Magic Trackpad simply will not connect. I've tried a few things, mainly powering off and on and connecting with the usb cord. Has anybody experienced this or does anybody have any solutions? Would very much like to get it working as much as it cost!

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't, I've checked both the trackpad and Bluetooth areas and it doesn't show up. I have no idea as to why.
With that being a brand new setup, it could be you just happen to get a defective Trackpad 2. Contact Apple and get a replacement Trackpad 2. You shouldn't have to jump through that many hoops to get it connected, especially with the MM able to connect.

I have a new setup a well, and I mine connected instantly, once it was turned on.

You did turn it on via the little on/off button on the side.and have you charged it up using the TB cable?

Yes I have. I'm just going to exchange it out and I'm sure that will take care of it. Just wanted to exhaust any options before I made the trip to see if it possibly wasn't defective.
