So I have a 2007 Macbook running 10.5.8 (just never got around to updating to Snow Leopard). I use it up on a stand hooked up to a circa-2004 wired keyboard and wired (pre-Mighty, so not even a trackball) mouse that came with an eMac that died and was replaced with the Macbook. (I'm obviously not a compulsive updater.)
I'm planning to update to a new Macbook Pro later this year, so please refrain from yelling at me for still running Leopard
Obviously my wired mouse severely restrains my use of Snow Leopard and eventually Lion, so I'll need a replacement for it if I want to keep using my stand. My question is, will the Magic Trackpad work with Leopard if I buy it now to use with my Macbook before I get the Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard or Lion?
I've searched and seen a variety of answers, from working fine as a normal, non-multitouch trackpad to crashing machines and requiring rebooting from a Time Machine backup. Was the crashing an old problem that's been resolved, or did it only affect PPC Macs?
