So I have a 2007 Macbook running 10.5.8 (just never got around to updating to Snow Leopard). I use it up on a stand hooked up to a circa-2004 wired keyboard and wired (pre-Mighty, so not even a trackball) mouse that came with an eMac that died and was replaced with the Macbook. (I'm obviously not a compulsive updater.)
I'm planning to update to a new Macbook Pro later this year, so please refrain from yelling at me for still running Leopard 🙄 Obviously my wired mouse severely restrains my use of Snow Leopard and eventually Lion, so I'll need a replacement for it if I want to keep using my stand. My question is, will the Magic Trackpad work with Leopard if I buy it now to use with my Macbook before I get the Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard or Lion?
I've searched and seen a variety of answers, from working fine as a normal, non-multitouch trackpad to crashing machines and requiring rebooting from a Time Machine backup. Was the crashing an old problem that's been resolved, or did it only affect PPC Macs?
