Magnetic lock not working

Sena Florence case worked perfect on iPad 2, but won't auto lock the new iPad.

Anyone have similar problems?
 
If the magnet locations are different, wouldn't the SmartCovers be different -- with the old ones not working?

Apparently the apple smart covers were designed in such a way they would still work even if the sensors shifted a bit...
