Sorry but I can't help thinking, mountain out of a mole hill here.

You said your busy and need to get stuff done yet they offer to replace and you decide to wait around for 3 hours and spend (hours?) posting pictures and overviews here??

You must confuse easily. Apparently a day only consists of 3 or more hours lol. Hope you didn't lose your whole morning to write that as clearly, writing a few posts on a forum is a days work to you lol.

Did you see the pic of me working AT the Apple store while I was waiting? Oh right, you didn't because you didn't read the whole post. I also worked the entire day on my projects after I left Apple.

Thanks for trolling!

these apple cables break all time time. Almost everyone I know that has a macbook has had to buy a new AC adapter.

That's a real shame. Hopefully one day we'll get quality cables. Aesthetically they're nice. But I can't believe how many people are telling me now that they also have cable issues.

I wasn't trolling I was making a valid point with regards to your situation.

You are the one now trolling and mocking.

Hope you get it sorted.

Apple have been great and replaced them all though so I can't complain too much, although this time I had to call them as the lady in the apple store implied that it was my fault the cable frayed and said I must have a rodent problem in my house which I thought was quite offensive. One call to technical support sorted everything though.

THEY ACTUALLY TOLD YOU THAT????! Wow. I get the whole thing from their end about making sure all claims are valid, but I hope somebody got reprimanded for that lol

I only trolled back as I failed to see what was valid about the comment. So I apologize if that offended you. (This thread really attracted trolls and other defensive apple employees .. See the previous pages) .. Sorry if I flipped a little quickly there.

Thanks for the hope, they seem like they'll sort it.

Yeah they did say that to me, I was livid! She said that there was no way the cable could break and fray like that naturally so it must have been caused by me, she then said it looked like it had been chewed by a rodent or a rabbit. I did question why nothing else I owned was frayed like that or why it was only the top end of the cable near the mag safe part but she said that if I have a problem with rodents that's not up to them to fix the damage, even though the damage was just from daily use or the cable coating being terrible.

When I phoned up tech support and told them what she said they apologised and agreed to send me out a new charger pretty much straight away.

So glad I live in New Zealand. Some of Apple's warranty rules fly in the face of local laws so usually it gets replaced straight away.

If anything tries to go to court they'll lose anyway.

Assuming Apple would ever turn up.
